3 Usmnt Players Set to Have A Breakout Season

Published

on

So many USMNT stars have broken onto the scene in the last few seasons. Many of us have been lucky enough to see their journey’s from young prodigies to playing at the highest level. Here are 3 players that could very well break onto the scene over the next 12 months.

Malik Tillman

Malik Tillman is a player that has been slowly breaking onto the scene over the past few seasons. After making his Bayern Munich debut in 2020, Tillman made his USMNT debut last May. Tillman is currently on loan at Scottish club Rangers, where he has scored two goals in his first five matches. With consistent game-time and European minutes, this could very well be the season that Tillman begins to really come onto the scene.

Auston Trusty

Auston Trusty is a name that most MLS fans will know. However, most of them have never thought about his name when it comes to the national team. Trusty was recently signed by Arsenal and loaned to Birmingham City. Trusty has been very solid during his first five appearances for Birmingham. If he can continue to play as he has been for the entire season, then we could see him in the USMNT picture very soon.

Sam Vines

After a good spell with the Colorado Rapids and a good Gold Cup, a lot was expected of Sam Vines when he moved to Belgian club Royal Antwerp. However, Vines initially struggled and fell out of the USMNT picture. However, Vines has had a good start to the season and is part of a very strong Antwerp side. If he and Antwerp can continue to play as they have at the start of the season, then Vines could very well find himself playing in a top 5 league twelve months from now.
