Christian Cappis joins USMNT in March

Published

Christian Cappis joins USMNT from Hobro in the Danish 1st division having been cleared to be released for the March Friendlies. “Cappy” will be joining Gregg Berhalter and the USMNT for the two March friendlies.

Cappy joined the USMNT squad a year ago at January camp and has been on the US radar since then. He had first gained interest in Germany from Bayern Munich before ultimately landing at Hobro who at that time were in the Danish Superliga.

Cappy was a key piece for Hobro and nearly kept the team in the Superliga on his own. There was interest from other clubs, but he ultimately stayed with Hobro through relegation, but was signed by Brøndby in the Danish Superliga in February 2021.

Learn more about Cappy from Underdog’s 2020 interview of the young dynamic central midfielder.
