Predicting the US vs Jamaica Line Up

Published

on

It’s Bruce Arena’s second line up in his new tenure and he’ll really want to get a result on Friday. Does he shake things up or go the safe route? Who would you play?

USMNT Starting XI vs Jamaica (Friendly), this is who I would start:

Morris      Altidore

Lletget      Nagbe       Bradley           Bedoya

Villafana        Marshall     Birnbaum      Evans

Bingham

I’d try not to mettle too much with what worked against Serbia and get some player continuity. I’d like to see Morris, Lleget and Nagbe in the starting line up to bring some speed and I’d go back to a 4-4-2 or 4-1-3-2 that seems to work best for us offensively without sacrificing our defensive shape. I don’t like the Zusi experiment, though he played fine and I’d like to see if Villafana could be a legitimate left back option moving forward. In the back, I think it’s time we start testing a young keeper for the long term.

Thoughts? Who would you start?
