TRENDING UP

  • Gaga Slonina: Gaga has been in top form the last few weeks, upping his clean sheet count to 12
  • Leon Flach: Leon continues to be steady for a high performing Philadelphia Union side and there are now whispers of Leon looking for a return to Germany. I am not sure he is quite ready for that and I still think Philly is more dynamic when McGlynn starts, but Leon is an unsung hero of a top club.
  • Tayvon Gray: Tayvon is turning into quite the utility man for a battered NYCFC, playing more recently at center-back and performing adequately.
  • Jack McGlynn: Jack McGlynn added his fourth goal contribution this past week and continues to look like a player that will be heading to Europe very soon.
  • Danny Leyva: He is finally getting the run of starts he has deserved and he is playing pretty well
  • Daniel Edelman: Danny has started five games in a row for Red Bulls and he has been pretty impressive, scoring his first goal and being a menace defensively.

TRENDING DOWN

  • Rocco Rios Novo: RRN lost his starting job this last weekend after a continued run of below average performance
  • Kayden Pierre: Pierre hadn’t been playing much at all until this last weekend and he wasn’t great in his first start in a while
  • Ben Bender: Bender’s been on a little goal contribution drought and he isn’t the most useful defender, so his value really drops when he isn’t contributing much to the attack
  • Jackson Hopkins: Hopkins has lost his starting job of struggling for a string of games.

Gaga has had back to back brilliant performances with a 6 and 9 save clean sheet. The post shot expected goals between those two games were 2.5 and let in 0. If he keeps this up through the end of the year, he is going to push Tolkin for the number one spot.

Here is one of his most impressive saves from those two games:
